REDI assists small businesses with funding information, permitting and inspections and community development like creating county connections. Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI) is a public-private partnership formed in 1997 by the City of Rockville, Maryland to strengthen and broaden the city’s economic base through business entrepreneurship, expansion, retention, and recruitment programs. In order to accomplish this goal, REDI offers guidance and support to companies at all stages of growth through a variety of services, which are confidential and mostly without fees. Established in 2010, Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC) is a special initiative of Rockville Economic Development, Inc. that helps female and minority entrepreneurs and small businesses create and grow successful, sustainable enterprises that stimulate job growth and overall economic development.
To help position businesses for profitability and long-term growth, MWBC offers year-round in-person workshops, online training and intensive programs, such as the WEgrow Maryland Leadership & Business Growth Program, Procurement Program, and more. It also offers business assessment and counseling, networking events, and access to resource partnerships & funding.
